About Tiny Genius Daycare
At Tiny Genius Daycare, we believe every child has extraordinary potential waiting to be unlocked.
Located in the heart of Summerside, South Edmonton, we offer a nurturing and safe space for toddlers and preschoolers to explore, learn, and grow.
Our passionate educators are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education through a balanced blend of play, creativity, and structured learning.
Our mission is simple: to grow geniuses, one tiny step at a time.
Building Tiny Genius Daycare
Tiny Genius Daycare was born from a passion for early childhood education and a commitment to making quality care accessible to all families. As an experienced educator and parent, our founder recognized the challenge many Edmonton families face: finding exceptional childcare that doesn’t strain the family budget.
With the vision of creating a space where children could thrive intellectually, socially, and emotionally—without parents having to compromise due to cost—Tiny Genius Daycare was conceived. Opening our doors in July 2025, we’re proud to be one of the few privately incorporated daycares that maintains Alberta Affordability Grant eligibility, allowing us to offer premium care at significantly reduced rates.
Our brand-new facility in southwest Edmonton has been thoughtfully designed with young children in mind, creating an environment that’s both stimulating and secure. Every aspect of our program—from our carefully selected staff to our research-based curriculum—reflects our commitment to excellence in early childhood education.
We believe that the early years form the foundation for lifelong learning and development. At Tiny Genius Daycare, we’re honored to partner with families in nurturing the next generation of creative thinkers, problem solvers, and compassionate citizens.

Our Educational Philosophy
At Tiny Genius Daycare, we embrace a balanced approach to early childhood education that combines the best elements of various educational philosophies. We believe that children learn best through purposeful play and meaningful interactions with caring adults and peers.
Our curriculum is built on the understanding that play is the natural way children learn and make sense of their world. Through carefully designed play experiences, children develop critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and social skills. Our educators intentionally extend these experiences by asking thought-provoking questions, introducing new vocabulary, and encouraging children to explore concepts more deeply.
We focus on nurturing all aspects of your child’s development
We recognize that each child is unique, with their own interests, strengths, and learning styles. Our educators observe and document children’s development to create personalized learning opportunities that build on their natural curiosity and abilities.
While we cherish the early childhood years for their own sake, we also understand our responsibility to prepare children for future academic success. Our preschool program incorporates pre-literacy and pre-numeracy skills, critical thinking, and the social-emotional foundations needed for a smooth transition to kindergarten.
